How Teravolt works

Teravolt starts with a controlled site-and-power position, signs a site-specific capacity contract, secures project capital, then leads design, procurement, construction, commissioning and operations through a local project company.

A site, substation, construction site and completed AI data center connected in sequence.

The four stages

Control site and power

Secure long-term site rights. Confirm the power capacity and energisation route with the grid operator. Obtain permits through an established local route.

Controlled site + power + permits

Sign customer offtake

Translate the customer's location, capacity, rack, cooling, resilience and service-date requirements into a buildable specification. Sign a site-specific capacity contract — colocation or contracted GPU compute.

Signed capacity contract

Secure project capital

Fund the project through customer advance payments, project debt and equity. Advances bridge the project to financial close.

Funded local JV/SPV

Design, build and operate

Apply the Teravolt reference design, procure long-lead equipment early, then build, commission and operate the facility to the contracted service dates.

Operating AI capacity

Two products built on the same power-backed platform

Customers contract either ready-for-service data-hall capacity or GPU compute delivered as bare metal. Both run on the same site, power, cooling and delivery platform.

Configured once, then contracted as high-density colocation or GPU compute.

High-density colocation

The customer — typically a GPU operator — contracts ready-for-service power, cooling and data-hall capacity under a site-specific capacity contract. The customer finances, installs and operates its own GPU systems.

Contracted GPU compute (bare metal)

The customer contracts GPU compute against an agreed schedule. Teravolt delivers and operates it with an established GPU operating partner, so the customer consumes capacity without owning the physical layer.

Five design decisions shorten the route to service

  1. 01

    Power-backed sites

The grid connection already exists, so the multi-year wait for a new connection drops out of the schedule. Development starts from an energised position instead of an application queue.

  2. 02

    Established permit route

Projects follow permit routes the local partner has already worked through with the authorities. Approvals run on a known local path instead of an open-ended process.

  3. 03

    Teravolt-owned modular design

Each project reuses Teravolt's own architecture, integration logic and performance specification. That removes a new design cycle for every project.

  4. 04

    Customer advance payment

Advance payments under the capacity contract close the funding gap between customer demand and project capital. Long-lead work starts without waiting for full financial close.

  5. 05

    Early procurement

Critical equipment is reserved while design, permitting and financing continue in parallel. The sequential wait for long-lead items comes off the schedule.

Every project is built through a local JV/SPV

Every project is built through a local JV/SPV

The project company holds site rights, the customer contract and project economics. Its terms are agreed project by project.

Local site and energy partner

  • Long-term site control
  • Power capacity and energisation route
  • Permits and local-authority relationships
  • Local contractor and supplier access

Teravolt

  • Customer contracting
  • Project capital
  • Reference design and integration
  • Procurement, commissioning and operations

Local JV/SPV

  • Holds site and power rights
  • Holds the customer contract
  • Raises project financing
  • Holds shared project economics

Both parties participate in the long-term economics; ownership, governance and contributions are agreed project by project.

How partners work with Teravolt

Teravolt combines site rights, grid capacity and local delivery access with customer contracts, project capital and a repeatable design.

What you can bring

  • Long-term site and power rights
  • A defined connection, energisation and permitting route
  • Local authority, contractor and supplier access

What the project can create for you

  • Monetisation of underused land or infrastructure
  • Long-term contracted power demand
  • Participation in agreed local JV/SPV economics

What Teravolt does next

Teravolt screens the position against customer and grid criteria, then defines the next step towards a local JV/SPV.

Bring us a site-and-power position

Teravolt translates location, capacity, rack, cooling, resilience and service-date requirements into ready-for-service infrastructure or contracted compute.
